family walks, full or half day routes, or even treks staying over in mountain huts or refuges. The unspoilt  mountain pastures, looked down upon by snow capped mountain peaks with tumbling mountain streams and an abundance of colourful wild flowers, will not fail to impress.  Stumble across traditional Alpine Villages, with quaint traditional alpages where the famous local Savoie cheeses are still made from the milk of cows and goats that graze the Alpine meadows. The tinkling of cow bells  and the tranquility it represents is synonymous to the French Alps.
 
                  

yyuThe Ibex , (Bouquetin ) have made their home here and there is every chance you will see them ,along with red and roe deer which are

seen often in our Village.The marmottes , which you will hear before you see , will entertain you with their whistling and frolicking in the sun.

 The Tetra ( Black Grouse ) is a protected species that lives here too along with the Bearded Vulture.  You will get close to the local flora and fauna, and reaching for your camera will be a regular event.

Many footpaths lead to stunning mountain lakes, blue from the melted glacial water with dramatic views of Mont Blanc, Mont Pourri, and Grande Casse.

 
 
Your walking Itinerary will be tailored to suay3it you. We can provide all the help you need to explore this amazing area, whether it be providing the route, maps and info for you to self guide, or provide a local qualified quide whose wealth of knowledge will ensure a memorable adventure.  Staying in a mountain refuge overnight during your stay can be organised for you too.
 
 During July and August the ski lifts in Les Arcs are open to enable height gain with minimum effort so you can enjoy walking at a higher altitude and the spectacular views that go with that. The highest lift in Les Arcs  reaches 3250m and you feel on top of the world!

CHALET BASED GUIDED WALKING HOLIDAY

 

7 Nights accommodation and 4 days Guided Walking with IML Jonny Kaye in and around the Vanoise National Park, the Beaufortain and the Haute Tarentaise, for all ages and levels of fitness.

Staying in our beautiful Alpine Chalet you will enjoy spectacular walking during the day, with our fully qualified guide, and then return to the chalet to be spoilt by ourselves. Delicious homemade cakes will await your return, a relaxed dip in the hottub and then a fabulous 4 course meal in the evening with free flowing wine, will set you up for your next day's adventure.

Try other activities on the days you are not been guided or alternatively do a self guided walk.


Packed lunches will be provided and pick up and drop of at GENEVA airport within a certain time is included in the price. An overnight stay in a mountain refuge can be arranged by request. Our weeks will group walkers of similar ability together so that our walks will match your level of fitness and ability , and everyone gets the most from their holiday.

What is your ability?
 
Grade 1 - Low level walks, no more than 4 hours and 300m of ascent on good paths
 
Grade 2 - Up to 6 hours, up to 500-600m of ascent, normally on good paths.
 
Grade 3 - Up to 8 hours, usually 900m or more of ascent, sometimes on rough ground and with some exposure.
 
Grade 4 - Anything above Grade 3

SELF CATERED CHALET HOLIDAY The whole chalet (4 bedrooms sleeping 11) can be rented on a self catered basis for you to explore the area on your own accord and enjoy a Summer activities, Cycling or Walking Holiday. Prices are £895 per week for the whole chalet.

Fully Catered Winter Holidays From December to April we offer fully catered holidays to snowshoe, ski and snow board. Prices include bed , breakfast, afternoon tea , 4 course evening meal and all drinks during your stay. Prices from £499 pp pw.
